That, my friends, is what we call “hybrid” coverage. Read on and find out more, or, just skip straight to the good part and hit play on some films!
The short version
Me, taking photos at your wedding as usual. At the same time, I’ll also be recording video through the day and then creating a short cinematic highlight film of your day.

Who says you can’t have it all?!
Along with taking candid, laid-back, and colourful photographs of your wedding, I will also be filming short clips throughout your day. I’ll then create a 5min+ beautiful cinematic wedding highlight film. Sometimes this film will include audio captured from the ceremony and speeches - sometimes it won’t. It really all depends on the audio fitting the story. (No one wants a nice sunset shot dubbed with a story from the best man about that one time in Ibiza…)
Set to carefully curated music (all fully licensed and copyright free, so no Ed Sheeran here) these short films allow me to really flex my creative muscles. Best of all, you won’t even know I’m filming half the time. Instead, I’ll be shooting film and photos alongside each other which means you get the very best of both worlds - amazing photos and a stunning film!
Important to note
My highlight films are not a replacement for a full-feature film. I don’t set up multiple cameras on tripods and as such you will not be receiving a full uncut videos of your ceremony and speeches.
If that’s what you’re after then let me know and I’ll be happy to recommend some of my incredible wedding industry friends, all of whom do that incredibly well.
However, I know that audio and long-form films aren’t for everyone, which is exactly why I offer my hybrid highlights option either with or without captured audio sprinkled in.
Will we need a second shooter if we book your Hybrid option?
Not necessarily. If your wedding is all in one location or you’re having a destination wedding then I can capture everything on my own. One of the main advantages is that I can move fast and light so you won’t need a whole team of audio visual suppliers at your small wedding!
It’s worth saying though, the hybrid option really comes to life when there are two shooters. If I’ve got a second photographer working alongside me then you’ll get a great mix of photographs and film. Let’s have a chat about it!
What about vows and speeches - Do you capture audio?
Yes I can! So you’ll see above that some of my film have audio from the day sprinkled in and some don’t - what’s the deal with that? I can capture beautiful crisp and clear audio of the these super important parts of your day and then use that audio to real tell the story and emotion of the day whilst conveniently not using parts that maybe don’t fit in so well with your film. I can capture audio both solo and with a second shooter (but definitely its much easier to have a second shooter if captured audio his important to you).
Some couples would love a highlight film but really don’t want to include captured audio overlaid and I can definitely still make you and emotive and visually amazing film using just music.
I’m more than happy to cover all these options in a meeting prior to booking (IRL or Zoom - either or!)

Don’t worry! Just book my “cinematic highlight film only” package. This option includes both a 2-4 min film thats great for social media and a 12-18min extended Film.
