Stylish Enterkine House Hotel Wedding Full of Greenery
Enterkine House Wedding - Amy + Scott
These two are an absolute riot! I laughed, smiled, and grinned my way through this wedding. It’s a cliche but my cheeks really were sore afterward!
Amy and Scott had such a cool wedding at Enterkine House Hotel in Ayrshire. They are proper childhood sweethearts, met at high school, and have been together pretty much forever. This made for a great atmosphere at the wedding, it was like one big happy family! Amy’s brother was one of Scott’s groomsmen, his girlfriend was Amy’s bridesmaid and both Amy and Scott’s parents are great friends. They even go on holiday together! It was like I was photographing a huge family party. With a wee ceremony thrown in!
Wedding photography at Enterkine House
Enterkine House Hotel is a fab, luxury wedding venue with views out over the River Ayr. The whole place has been recently refurbished and I love how they’ve brought in contemporary decor but kept the traditional features of the house, the history of which dates back to the 1930s.
Weddings at Enterkine House take place in a newly built oak framed glass barn. It’s a photographer’s dream as huge floor to ceiling windows let in loads of natural light and the couple’s faces are perfectly lit. Such a bonus!
That morning I joined Amy in the bridal suite at Enterkine. She was getting ready with all her pals. The tunes were blaring out, the girls were in high spirits and everyone was laughing and chattering away. Amy and her bridesmaids were all in matching robes so we did some photos out on the balcony. We were all creased with laughter as they kept throwing poses for me and shouting out photo ideas!
Impromptu photoshoot over, I nipped downstairs to the bar. Not that I was in need of a drink after all the mayhem, no, Scott had just arrived and was looking very dapper in his kilt. He was hanging out with his groomsmen so after a bit of chatter I left them to it and was back upstairs in time to capture Amy putting on her incredible wedding dress.
While their guests gathered down in the barn Amy did a first look with her bridesmaids. It was emotional! There were screams of amazement, tears of joy, and a lot of hugs! Then it was Dad’s turn. More emotion! Dennis was wiping tears away before he’d even walked through the door and seen Amy!
Ayrshire wedding photography
There were so many cool touches and details everywhere. Scott is a graphic designer so had done a lot himself, with Amy’s input of course! They’ve been together for so long that there was a lot of history to draw on and include in the day. Especially during their ceremony, which was conducted by George from Fuze Ceremonies. This really was the joining of two families which they signified by taking a flame from two candles and, together, lighting a single candle. A really special moment for everyone in the ceremony.
Things didn’t stay sentimental and romantic for long though, Amy and Scott love a good party and were determined to celebrate in style. Brendan Behan, as well as being one of Scott’s groomsmen, is also a talented wedding videographer and we had a great time as we tried to keep up with all the action!
Words don’t do the party justice, so I’ll leave the photos to do the talking for me! This is Amy and Scott’s brilliant Enterkine House wedding. Enjoy folks!
